My Uncle Tom

I would like everyone to know that I am a HORRIBLE niece because I forgot to wish my wonderful uncle Happy Birthday on his birthday (March 11). So this is my attempt to make up for it. I am devoting my blog update to him. A lot of you don't know my uncle (which is a shame...because you are truly missing out) so I will do my best to give you a brief understanding of the kind of man he is. My Uncle Tom is probably the most intelligent person I have ever know. He is BRILLIANT. However, his brilliance goes far beyond smarts...he is so in tune with who he is and he has an amazing ability to read people around him and understand who they are even if they don't understand themselves. He also has the gift of words. He chooses his words so carefully and he can capture you with a few sentences. He can explain and describe things in such a way that you feel what he is saying-you don't just understand what he is saying but you FEEL it. He has also had a very intriguing life. I love hearing about his life experiences. My Uncle Tom can make everyone feel at ease. He is so calming to be near. He doesn't hand out his love and trust freely- you have to earn it- but he is always open. He is absolutely self-less and always bettering himself. (If thats even possible) He is charitable. He is often helping others. He loves my aunt unconditionally and I can't thank him enough for that because she is so deserving. They were made for each other. They would not be complete without each other. They make each other better. I could go on and on about my Uncle Tom but I think I have said enough for you to understand what kind of man he is. I am honored to call him MY Uncle Tom. Uncle doesn't even see like the appropriate title for what he is to me. He is my very own earth angel. I love him so very much and I appreciate all that he is.
